We've kicked off November's BOOZE N BOOKS with Mitch Albom's classic Tuesdays with Morrie. Our booze is a cab-merlot Wayne Gretzky blend.
I'm already deep into this read and will tackle that red wine near the end of the month (maybe when I finish the book).
October's read of Scar Tissue is one of my all-time favourite reads. I hope you were able to get through the entire book. It was a ambitious read for one month.

I wouldn't say I was the biggest Red Hot Chili Peppers fan but you don't have to be to enjoy this book. While I do really like their music, it's Anthony's story throughout this auto-biography that is so fascinating to me.
This story is not just a "hey, here's what it's like to be a rock star and stuff" but rather, a documentation from his childhood, all the way to super-stardom. Anthony found himself in LA and around drugs and a lifestyle that was not normal for a kid his age (around 11 years old). From there, Kiedis battled his own demons with addiction. He was kicked out of the band at one point but persevered to get clean (eventually) and live his life to the fullest as a rock star. Here's a recap video:
